Operation & services

We deliver services to rail entreprenours and infrastructure owners

Support of maintenance related to railway

TM togdrift has been contracted as fire safety train (brannberedskapstog) during operations with a rail grinding train. This is a maintenance-of-way vehicle or train used to grind the surface of railway tracks. It removes deformations, corrugation, and corrosion caused by wear and friction, thereby restoring the rail profile and improving ride quality. These trains are often equipped with multiple grinding wheels set at precise angles and may operate at night or during low-traffic periods.

We also use our “track bus” Fiat Y1 for transporting maintenance personell to their work site along the track.

Shunting services

Shunting is the operation of sorting items of rolling stock into complete trains or the reverse. It involves moving rail vehicles over short distances to assemble or disassemble trains, transfer cars between tracks, or position them for maintenance or loading.

Here we use our locomotive Vossloh G1000 in Narvik for shunting /transporting services.
